The Fort Worth Stockyards Longhorn Auction
Welcome to this Historical event, bringing the Texas Longhorns back home to the original Fort Worth Stockyard Auction Arena, where the west began. More than five million cattle a year were traded at this Auction Arena in the early 1900s, with as many as 2,600 pens. It is especially exciting to reopen the Auction Arena with a Texas Longhorn Sale, after being closed for more than a decade.
There are 100 head of spectacular Longhorns consigned to this historic sale. We thank our wonderful consignors for bringing an exceptional showcase of animals. The Sponsors of this sale are dynamic leaders in the Industry and community, and have consigned extraordinary selections from their programs that will have an impact on the Longhorn Industry. This is the first sale to ever offer four 90+" horned animals under one sale roof.
The Hudson and Valentine mission of bringing new marketing opportunities to the industry, along with marketing elite cattle, continues to be strong. We thank each of our Consignors for supporting and participating in this mission.
A special thanks to the UMB Bank, the Majestic Realty Group, Fort Worth Heritage Development Group, & Superior Livestock. We are grateful for their support on this tremendous journey of “Bringing the Texas Longhorns Home to Fort Worth.”
We want to thank all of our great sponsors: UMB Financial Corporation, Jeanne and Richard Filip - Bentwood Ranch, Rebecca and John Wampler - T BAR W Ranch, Ursula Allen - Allen Ranch, Debbie Bowman - End of Trail Ranch, Bow Carpenter - BC Cattle Company, Mark D. Gilliland MD - Gilliland Ranch LLC, Linda and Tom Harman - TK Ranch, Tyson Leonard - Leonard Ranch, Judy and Bill Meridith - Tall Grass Cattle Company, & Lynn Struthoff & Josie Becker - Struthoff Ranch.
Enjoy your time in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards. It is packed with things to do and see, and we hope you take advantage of seeing it all.
Sale Reserve Policy
As in the past, we continue to use innovating marketing ideas in order to bring the best prices possible for our Consignors. An animal may be a "No Sale" as it always has been at the Hudson/Valentine Sales. However, with our new policy, we request that you not pass your Reserve amount to the Management Team prior to the sale, therefore eliminating any confusion during the bidding process.
